Flybe's LPL-IOM-LPL schedule for next summer is a bit odd at moment, shows aircraft laying over in LPL for a longer than normal period. Maybe more to add yet.

New route from Flybe LPL-GCI-LPL, begins 1 Jun to 14 Sept. LPL-GCI 12.50-1420 and GCI-LPL 10.50-1220.

This was not what I expected as a new route announcement for today, so just shows best not to speculate too much ! Guernsey has been a gap in destinations from Liverpool for years and I have never really understood it, when Jersey is a popular route. So here it is, of course the question mark is Flybe !

Good news anyway.

Maybe they have a contract from a tour operator for a block of seats with Flybe free to sell remainder
I used to work in IT to Channel Islands and that is what we always used to do, block off say 30 seats
release what you don`t need about 3 or 4 months before departure and then request any extras

It is a bit of an odd one I thought the likelihood would be hearing about routes being chopped, anyway if it goes its a handy addition to have.

As I say if it has a level of seats blocked by a tour operator quite a chunk of the finacial bargain will be
with the tour operator rather than Flybe and it will be left for Flybe to fill the remainder of the seats a a good price

I'm not very familiar with Blue Islands, so would this really be a Blues Islands operation just using the Flybe banner, or is it Flybe just using Blue Islands aircraft ?

The former. They are a Flybe franchisee.

The Flybe LPL-IOM-LPL weekday timetable will stay at 4 flights per day each way through to the Autumn.

Liverpool to Isle of Man is bookable for 2020, a bit of reductions in service on the route, not too much. Who knows about Newquay.

Flybe are operating a LPL- BHD rotation today BE 903 and BE 904.

LPL-IOM is bookable next year, nothing yet showing for NQY will they do this next year , who knows, was increased this year but with changes that have occurred have to wait and see. GCI is Blue Islands and a new route so if does well, I guess they might have to run it under their own name ?

No i think for summer months...but i suppose it depends on demand.

Flybe's LPL to IOM route will be operated by Stobart Air ATR72 as of end of May next year. Flybe's IOM base will close then. This will be same situation for IOM/BHX/ MAN.

Flybe to close Isle of Man base under new plans
Flybe will close it Isle of Man base in 2020.

Flybe has announced it will be closing its Manx base under a phased and managed programme.

The process will be completed by the start of summer 2020 and is part of a new commercial arrangement with Stobart Air.

Stobart Air will take over the airline's Island flight operations, replacing two of Flybe's aircrafts with two new ATR 72-600s, which are said to be more economically viable than the current Q400s.

Routes to Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester will continue.

The first aircraft is planned to enter service on January 5 2020, followed by a second ATR on March 29, when Stobart Air will assume full Isle of Man operations.

In a statement, Flybe said:
