Bristol: General Airport News, Updates & Discussion

Phenomenal, have you manage to pin it down to the best hour, most airlines at the same time? Could be a good photo opportunity for somebody.
Looks like between 17:00 and 19:30 on a Friday you would see KLM E190, SunExpress B38M, Helvetic E295, Emerald AT72, Blue Islands AT72, Loganair E145, plus plenty of easyJet and Ryanair (no TUI or Jet2 movements though).

All very quiet in Bristol at the moment? Any updates on how Jet2 are performing since they commenced flying from there? Any new airline rumours?

It is very quiet at the moment. This winter is looking good with SunExpress operating for most of this winter , Swiss increasing to two per week , and significant frequency increases for both Easyjet and Ryanair. Tui stagnant. New winter city routes with jet 2 also. As for next summer both Tui and Jet2 will base an extra aircraft. Easyjet and Ryanair likely to launch their summer 24 in the next month or so

Will be interesting to see what sort of expansion Easyjet brings especially with the holiday brand being more of their focus.

AYT - SunExpress have started to release S25 flights (up to 2nd August) and looks to be 4 x weekly from w/c 19th May - prior to this it’s 3 x weekly - then 5 x weekly from w/c 21st July.

The fifth weekly is starting much later in summer 25 than this year. Also sad not to see SunExpress add Dalaman to the schedule which it has announced today from 3 other uk airports

This could have had a catastrophic outcome, but thankfully it didn't.

You'd think in this day and age, the onboard computure would return an audible response to say insufficient thrust is available for the runway TORA available?

Yep thankfully it didn't turn into something more worse.

Ah I can’t see behind the paywall but if that happens that could be a game changer - how likely ?
A small quote from the article to summarise...

"Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Atlantic is examining a return to Gatwick and flights from regional airports such as Bristol after giving up hope of a third runway at Heathrow before the end of the decade."

Lets be honest, it's about time some regional airports got a look in on some of these in-reach destinations.

What’s the plan with apron stands at the airport going forward ? Looking on the airports website I make it 39 stands with currently 38 needed overnight - are there plans for more to be added ?

Anyone know if the airport still releases the flight timetables? Used to be available soon after the season changed but I can't see W24 anywhere

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
