Whilst its been highlighted for people on this flight, surely they also need to pinpoint the location that the people who had it stayed, which is likely to be mixed with people from all over the UK. So effectively if it was at a hotel, it could've been on any zante departing flight. I sense a can of worms opening.

On the Zante flight into CWL and passengers to go into lock down due to a high number of covid19,a report on BBC breakfast monday morning was a little clip went with the report shows a 737 landing at BRS airport. Another shambles of a news clip.

I'm not surprised and I doubt they care about accuracy!

Mask rules were ignored on a Zante flight where everyone was told to self-isolate, a passenger says
So many people ignore the pandemic rules and advice generally why should we be surprised if they take the same cavalier and antisocial attitude when on aircraft? I haven't flown since the lockdown in March but I wonder if face coverings are routinely ignored on flights on many carriers.

My understanding is that face coverings tend to protect others not the wearer, which means the selfish idiots who didn't wear maskes were afforded some protection by responsible travellers who had their face and nose covered whereas the idiots cared not a jot about infecting others.

Perhaps one way to attempt to overcome this would be for cabin crew to advise passengers they must keep wearing their face covering during the flight and note the seat number of those who refused with a request for the police to meet the flight on arrival in the UK to deal with the offending passengers.

Given the attitude of some of the passengers I doubt that all will observe the self-isolation procedure.

I'm afraid I've experienced it on a Ryanair flight certain passengers either took their masks off or wore them round their necks. The crew did nothing, just served them more drinks. I'm afraid their is a substantial element of Brits who are v self centred
I think a lot of people are bit complacent about it.

1 of the reports showed Bristol with a 737 landing. Only seen that clip once. Library film clips and hope no one notices things that are not correct for the report.

So Welsh Government/Public Health Wales are making all passengers arriving on this evenings Zakynthos flight self-isolate on arrival.

looks like 0400 BST on Thursday all those arriving from Greece will have to self-isolate on arrival.

A person arriving on a Tui Zakynthos to Glasgow flight last week also has a confirmed case of COVID-19. Two rows in front & behind have been contacted to self-isolated.

There was also a report on 26th August that maybe up to 30 youngsters arriving from Zante May have contracted COVID-19.

To me it sounds like there is a huge spike of cases in Zante.

Agreed, it appears Zante may have lost control of the situation slightly. Have the WG announced a Greek quarantine? The SG now have, effective 0400 Thursday. The UK Govt have not as of yet.

So anyone who arrives into CWL from Zante who lives in Wales will have to self-isolate but anyone arriving into CWL from Zante who lives in England won't have to self-isolate because the WG and NHS Wales have no jurisdiction in England. English residents arriving from Zante into English airports won't have to self-isolate but Welsh residents arriving from Zante through English airports will have to self-isolate because they live in Wales under the jurisdiction of the WG and NHS Wales.

If the Westminster Government on behalf of England follows the lead of the WG English residents will have to self-isolate but they haven't done so yet.

Can't we all sing from the same hymn sheet? Many people are confused as it is as to what is simply government guidance and what is against the law when it comes to fighting the pandemic. With different countries in the UK not taking the same approach it just causes further confusion.

I agree, it is all a bit confusing. So is it only Zante that the WG are targeting or all of Greece like the SG?

The inconsistency between nations can be problematic at times but these are inevitable consequences of devolution. The United Kingdom is, in many areas, largely only really “united” by name and not policy. Thus it is really no surprise that different rules apply across the different nations. The UK Govt imposed quarantine on Spain soon after the SG so we may see the same happen with regards to Greece.

P&O have announced today all Carrabean and other cruises cancelled until beginning of February so presumably the TUI flights are gone at all UK airports, this virous is making any planning a nightmare for everyone.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
