I see the Strategic Airbus is in use today on the PMI-MAN route, have they had an aircraft go tech or is on of them having maintence?

Ive seen one or two of the Man based aircraft, recently, operating services from Leeds Bradford and east midlands so it could be the case that one of the aircraft has gone to another base and this has lead to them needing to use the A320 on the service.

[textarea]Incident: Jet2 B738 at Ibiza on Jul 21st 2011, engine shut down in flight

A Jet2 Boeing 737-800, registration G-GDFC performing flight LS-170 from Ibiza,SP (Spain) to Manchester,EN (UK) with 180 passengers and 6 crew, was in the initial climb out of Ibiza's runway 06 when the crew needed to shut the right hand engine (CFM56) down, levelled off at 3000 feet and entered a holding before diverting to Palma Mallorca,SP (Spain) for a safe landing on runway 24L about 40 minutes after departure.

The Airport Authority (AENA) said the crew reported a fire indication, the fire how had already extinguished at the time of the landing.

Look close enough at the right engine and you shall see a small amount of what it appears to be flames.

Great find though. It looks like it probably suffered a bird strike on departure from Ibiza looking at the way the engine was misfiring and popping.

If you look at other Youtube videos where birds have been ingested into aircraft engines you see the same misfiring and engine popping.

I guess we'll need to wait for the official version which will be released in due course.

A new engine was flown out to Palma using a Hercules.The passengers had a six hour delay before being flown home on a replacement aircraft.

G-LSAB currently heading south from MAN to PMI as EXS831, over Birmingham and still climbing through 20,000ft, so her issues yesterday must have been resolved, fingers crossed. Anyone know why she had to turn back to MAN twice whilst doing the LBA-PMI EXS257 service?

I spoke to soon, EXS831 now heading back north. The issue obviously not sorted! Unless the captain has gone back for his butties!

Aviador, according to FlightRadar Logs G-LSAB has been flying - probably doing tests after its maintenance. This is G-LSAB's log:

The log's have been known to be wrong, but it seems that today G-LSAB has flown around as EXS031E. Yesterday (29th's) events can be seen as the aircraft departed for PMI from MAN but never made it as it turned back.

Unless I am mistaken, LSAB was back at its normal base at LBA today as I saw it climbing out from 14 on Sunday afternoon. Hopefully it is sorted now.

I think G-LSAB is still based at MAN White Heather, it must have been G-LSAE which you saw as that is the only 752WL aircraft currently at LBA (I have recorded full details on the LBA-Jet2 forum).

Just for everyone's reference and to ease the confusion as to where each 752 currently is I have made a list:

G-LSAA - Manchester
G-LSAB - Manchester
G-LSAC - Manchester
G-LSAD - East Midlands
G-LSAE - Leeds/Bradford

G-LSAJ is now LBA based and G-LSAH EMA based. They swapped this evening (31st) in Paphos.
