People outside the airline world appear not to be aware of the issues at Primera. A local radio station is advertising the local delights of Boston via Primera on Twitter.
Ironically, there is a MAN poster on the SCC site indicating why it will be as cheap to fly from MAN as use Primera from BHX. So that's not a great help either!
Is Boston aimed primarily at the Irish community in the West and East Midlands? There must be quite a few people who use Aer Lingua via Dublin to Boston.
I posted a comment on the Post website criticizing the author for producing a misleading headline but stating that the first paragraph referring to a reduction in daily flights to Dubai was correct.
Are we expected to believe the store manager at House of Fraser when he says that Chinese tourists were traveling all the way from the north-west to shop at his store in Birmingham?
I should qualify my statement in case there is any confusion. The other passengers I was talking about were referring to the city of Birmingham, not the airport.
Surely your comments are in the wrong thread: Emirates or the General thread are more appropriate.
I'm afraid some people slag Birmingham off at the airport even when it is nothing to do with the airport! I was in front of a couple of passengers when waiting to board a plane to Barcelona last...
I think that airlines take BHX seriously, but it would appear that they don't take the catchment area seriously when it comes to niche routes. If these routes can work in a smaller catchment area like Bristol it must be down to the demographics, or is it the case that those niche routes...
As someone who hasn't posted often on here I think I can speak from a more neutral standpoint.
The problem is User100 you acted as the moderator before the actual moderator was given a chance to. Surely BHX contributor's can talk about what they like until a moderator has their say.
It's quite...
I have to say I'm not surprised if the following is typical. I spoke with a friend of mine a couple of months ago who has a fairly high powered job and commutes from Birmingham to London everyday by train. My friend occasionally flies to New York from Birmingham and into Newark. I asked her if...
The Madrid numbers are a amazing. To think that in 2009 and 2012 I went to central Spain with some friends and had to fly from Luton!! Why was there no service then? A number of operators are managing to attract healthy loads. Can only think the BHX marketing team didn't quite have the clout...
I'm not sure where you got your facts from, but a referendum enables the population to vote, not parliament. If the referendum is not legally covered then there cannot be a referendum.
I went to Tokyo with Qatar from BHX on its second flight and because we left 30 mins late because of "a security issue" we just had enough time to make our connecting flight. In fact, I wonder whether the time constraint was the reason our luggage didn't reach Tokyo!!
