Don't think there has been a LJ in today. The only departures around then were A321 G-POWN 'AWC435Y' positioning to EMA after a Santa flight at 17.45 and HS125 LY-LTA 'LTC601' at 18.15.
Also did an ILS to a cloud break this morning before continuing visually for a short visit to a site in Ilkley to pick up some passengers. The weather this afternoon stopped him doing the same to drop them back there.
About the only thing around then was Rockwell 114 G-OECM (low wing, single engine light aircraft)out of LBA to Carlisle,it was built in 1995 so a mere youngster!
Going back a bit further don't forget the 'Link City' service Dan Air operated,(often with one of the few female pilots that were around then,Yvonne Sintes,at the helm) between Bristol,Cardiff,LBA and Glasgow.
And talking of Bristol anybody remember(or even better have a photograph of) Severn...
If you have queries on past movements at LBA it is worth trying the Air Yorkshire website,a lot of past Air Yorkshire magazines have been scanned and posted on there.Having said that August 1978 isn't amongst them!
Similar incident at Manchester back in 2016 seems to have a connection to the use of the tug and it's effect on the structure of the nosewheel over time.
