Leeds Bradford: Airport Application To Amend Night Flying Quota Methodology

Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
My mother lives in shipley and she never hears any aircraft at all esp as most are very high up by that point, in fact been a more urban area there is far more noise from the busy roads in that area and even the nightly freight trains passing through that i believe head upto north yorks produce far more rumbling noise. Its totally beyond me what goes off in the heads of these g***a, greens and others, to be honest their just a laughable joke!
Shipley only really gets 32 departures at around 5000 feet and not all pass over Shipley. Many are further up towards Bingley rather than over Shipley. This post by The Greens/G***A is total lies, and judging by the comments which are almost all pro airport, those lies haven't only been noticed by me. Hopefully, some will be so incensed it will stir them into logging support on the portal!

Living in baildon which is next door to shipley we tend to get just those flights over us that are heading to eastern europe, turkey and the greek islands. Those heading to mainland spain like you mentioned head more over bingley and those to the canaries and portugal go much wider more towards keigthley, but yes those that head over baildon/shipley are obviously 5000ft plus.

As a honorary Yedoner(I apologise if this is misspelt but they haven’t allowed access to this info yet after 30+years but that’s how to pronounce it phonetically!) I sent my support a while ago to LCC. Whilst I appreciate those trying to strengthen the argument with articulate positivity and giving examples of how to proceed. Perhaps we should be thankful of anyone willing to proceed through the online saga that is the LCC portal for feedback regardless of their literary skills. Not everyone is computer literate or otherwise. Speak up I say!

Thank you Yankee Delta, and welcome to the forum.

Thanks WH. Apparently I started this thread but that will be Aviador and his Wizardry no doubt. I’m a long time lurker in here. I struggle with the negativity so don’t comment often. Your positivity shines through though so long may it last and succeed👍

Thank you.

I have spent my evening messaging people I know asking for support. So far all have agreed. Every little helps.

Having more support than G***A would be amazing, but its unlikely. What is more important is providing the Council with far more support than they would normally expect - so they get the message that there is considerable support.

Shame they can't do a postal ballot although G***A would probably object to that too .

Having posted the item by G***A, masquerading as Shipley Greens yesterday, it seems only fair to post again now that the locals have responded to it. And boy have they! Read on, and it will make you feel better. The response to the Weetwood Labour item was the same.

I have forwarded to LBA. Might cheer them up after yesterday.

I have just commented on their post but I very much doubt if it will be allowed… let's say I got rather excited. I wonder how many of those hypocrites have actually used the airport to go away on holiday or do they just camp in the woods every time?

Judging from the comments the Green Councillors have totally failed to read the room and their opposition to the planning application has backfired spectacularly.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
