Anyone know how Ryanair are doing.I believe that they have increased the check in hours to 3 hours because of security queues at peak times

Could they threaten to pull from bhx?

you really need to chill out mate, why does it matter how Ryanair are doing? who cares?? why does it matter? And how silly saying they will pull out? thats daft! You need better medication i think!! Enjoy the hobby and let the airlines and airports worry about these things, its driving you mad Ant!!!

more important things in life than worrying about an airline!!

Unnecessarily nasty and not helpful at all

Thank you for your backing mate
Yeah the message was overboard and unncessarily nasty.

You are free to post and ask what you like. It's just a bit frustrating sometimes to think there might be some news or update and you open the thread and its the same question asking if anythings changed or if something could happen. I get you are enthuastic, we all are to be on this forum, but we follow to see developments, new routes stuff like that and when theres no news and the same type of messages all the time discussed it just makes it less likely to want to keep engaged on the forum.

Yes absolutely I post the same stuff however that could be at the same time Frequency increases to routes,Route closures,Timetables etc.

This is a new thing posted about the check in times and potential Ryanair could reduce their fleet at bhx

What a horrible thing to say to someone you don't even know. I think you owe Ant an apology

It's not new or breaking news at all Ryanair issued an advisory to check in 3hrs prior to departure in April. The recent advice is just a reiteration to remind passengers given the delays being encountered coming up to peak travel season.

Most if not all airlines and airports are advising the same for EU travel and have been for a while

A lot of hot air on something so trivial.

Honestly I see both sides, though do agree that was particularly uncalled for from @Matt995. If, say, Ryanair pulled from LBA it could have bad implications for me, because right now I centre a lot of my life around the goings on of LBA out of lack of other options. And the medication comment? Was that really necessary?

@Birmingham Aviation, I think you can rest assured that Ryanair are extremely unlikely to pull out of BHX with such a huge operation, we at LBA even kept them around during COVID when the base was struggling anyway. If people have an important update they'll generally post it unprompted

I'm with @YorkshireLad on this seeing both sides. The sense of frustration, which I share, does come from repeat "fishing" for information when there is clearly nothing to report - as is said it will get posted when the time is right.
However in this day and age it is very important that everyone is treated with ultimate respect and it is therefore very important what we say and how we say it - even if nothing was actually aimed at hurting any one individual.
We are all very passionate individuals, especially towards our own local airports, but I do in the main enjoy reading other airport threads due to my wider interest

No matter how annoying you might find it, it does not give you the right to berate other users on a public forum.

I assume that everyone here is mature enough to know that if you don’t like something, you do have the option of simply ignoring it, whether that’s the use of the ignore function or simply not responding – a few repetitive questions about Ryanair at BHX shouldn’t get one worked up – maybe the user should take their own advice – there are more important things to worry about in life than if someone is asking too many questions about Ryanair on F4A.

I’ve noticed the snide comments and almost bully like behaviour from some of the older members of this forum against @Birmingham Aviation… it seems like it gets more frequent by the day. Playground stuff - what ever happened to encouraging enthusiasm?

Turn the other cheek…

I think we have to remember that this little interest of ours has followers of all different ages and backgrounds so it's probably inevitable that people won't see eye to eye all of the time. I really do understand the frustration but all I ask that we remain as respectful as possible. Debate the post by all means but we can't be making things personal, we're better than that.

Hopefully we can draw a line under this one now and get this thread back to Ryanair.

I'll be making a post in the General Thread shortly (linked below) it might be worth taking a look 👍

as others have said, if you are not interested in something, there is an option to ignore. we should all remain respectful of one another regardless of how long we have been members!

I would have addressed this sooner but was on holiday and couldn’t log in, but as @Ray Finkle has said, I hope we can now call it a day and get back to Ryanair news.

You sounds too confident about FR remaining, size of the base doesnt mean anything, if FR are unhappy then they will pull, and currently they are extremely unhappy

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
