April 2027 & October 2027 HRG is showing as x2 weekly, hopefully the x2 weekly remains throughout Winter 2027/8 when it’s on sale

Anyone know if GDFM has had new engines recently it certainly sounds different. My 6 year old son even noticed and thought it was an Airbus or Max before it came into sight

Why would they fit new engines on a 300 when they are being phased out…makes no economic sence, sure they weren't knackered?

Well if they have fitted new engines they’ve kept it very hush hush!

Certainly sounds different.
And if you needed to keep them going they could have fitted 2nd hand ones!
If your car blows up 3 months before your new one is ready you'd fit a 2nd hand one to keep you mobile?

I doubt they will be brand-new engines. The likelihood is they're used and have been fully overhauled, probably at the facility in Norway. I think it's a Pratt and Whitney MRO.

I'm unsure. I heard a few years ago that P&W had a repair and overhaul plant somewhere in Norway and Jet2 was a client, even for CFM engines.

Jet2 have there CFM56 Engines overhauled and maintenance done by Aero Norway.

Must be one of the latest arrivals ever by Jet2 at LBA - 03:55 LS422 from Rhodes on Sunday morning!

Jet2 has announced two new routes for Summer 2027 from Leeds/Bradford to Santorini and Preveza.

The new routes as follows:

Preveza – 1x weekly Sunday
Santorini – 1x weekly Thursday

Santorini used to be served by Jet2 until recently, Preveza is totally new I believe.
