I used to see aircraft following this Chester Road path all the time. I had to walk to Brownhills High Street (Chester Road) to catch a bus many years ago and would often see early morning traffic. Emirates comes over my Mom's in Brownhills often quite low.

Lots of places to choose from jfy1999 ex BHX. I can recommend the Charente my parents have a place near Angouleme. La Rochelle/Bordeaux/Bergerac all make the area quite easy to get too. I noticed that Thomson holidays are selling holidays to Cote D'Azur with Monarch on their Mon and Fri flights...
I used to live very close to Chasewater and got some amazing views of inbound traffic I used to watch AA & BA 767s in the morning inbound to runway 15 on my way to Uni, those were the days.

I remember watching T2 Eurohub being built, it was groundbreaking at the time mixing domestic and International flights together in one terminal. I was wondering if BA would operate their summer flights out of their old terminal?

Doesnt T2 (well used to be T2) look shabby, well rusty? :(
Good to see it utilised a little more I hear some of the shops and cafes in old T2 struggle with the lack of customers.

Love the video from 1990 I may have been there on Friday evening! I noted the Air Malta 727 I think it was BHX based operating for a IT operator and BHX based TEA UK great memories.

The based aircraft does nothing on Saturdays I was hoping for a little niche charter flight maybe Corsica/Sardinia but it may be a little late for Summer 2017 now.

Amazing videos as others have said I wouldn't have fancied being a passenger on one of these flights and Mrs Daza is not good with flying at the best of times. :blackeye:
Of course load factors are not the be-all and end-all it's what people are paying that counts but of course airlines keep this information close to their chests. So it's the only indication we as enthusiasts have as to how any route is performing. For me the most important thing is this flight...
Turkish have also reduced BHX frequency due to events in Turkey, hence the drop in passenger numbers. Air India is doing amazingly well and showed a significant increase in passengers on January 2016 (+22.5%) with a LF of 88.7%. A real sucess story for Birmingham Airport. The figures prove that...
Jet2s advertising has been great TV ads that mention BHX specifically and Radio ads too. Other airlines seem almost invisible though I havent seen an ad for the new Veuling Orly service or much for Norweigians services from Birmingham.
More sponsorship of big events could be another avenue to...
Icelandair seem to want this route to work I have seen and heard (on radio) lots of ads for their services to Iceland and beyond, in terms of advertising maybe other airlines could take a leaf out of their book?
