Icelandic Airline WOW Air has ceased operations leaving thousands of passengers stranded after the airline failed to secure backing from investors. Passengers have been advised to seek alternative arrangements to get to their destinations. Passengers who bought their ticket from a European travel agent (within the European Economic Area) as a part of a package tour (a package which includes flights and accommodation or other services) are protected by the Package Travel Directive. What is the future for UK domestic air travel ? We are not a big country and yet getting around by any form of transportation can prove taxing to say the least !
