Hi all,

Just to let everyone know that I am planning to do some maintenance of the forums on Monday June 15th from 2pm BST. During this time, the forums may be unavailable while I make some essential and overdue upgrade works to the forum.

A big thank you to the @Envesko team for getting everything up and running again. As noted, any issues please let us know and we'll investigate further. Over time you may notice a couple changes as I complete the visual upgrades and introduce a new style on the forums.

I've noticed that the text for the threads within the forums is very hard to read when the forum is in dark mode, the text is grey and is only just visible. Please can you look into this, thanks in advance.

This will be fixed when the new style is built as XF have created a new way to have light and dark styles.

I have now managed to successfully restore the forum index layout to what it was previously, please note that some icons are currently not working as I will need to fix this.

When you featured this thread, in that Feature block it offers up an add image. It looks like that should display similar to the former system but it allows you to delete it when your done with it which means it wont clog the forum with unnecessary files.

I hadn't noticed before but there's a slight rendering issue. This screen capture shows one two thirds of the way down.

Effectively there are three options:

1. Simple: This just provides a basic summary like the new posts widgets and this is already in place in various spots in the forum
2. Standard: This creates a large image and a summary and will look like a news page on here: https://forums4airports.com/featured/
3. Carousel: This will create a scrolling content widget showing an avatar and summary and will scroll to save space. When 2.4 is available, the user avatar will be replaced with a small version of the featured image: https://xenforo.com/community/threads/featured-content-improvements.229454/ but there is code to replace the avatar with the featured image noted here https://xenforo.com/community/threa...en-displayed-as-carousel.222434/#post-1727047 (for myself) I've already placed the widget, it just needs some featured content!

I have implemented a new Carousel so a a featured image should show instead of an avatar. Due to rendering bugs, the node layout has been disabled and will be replaced with a new system. A new style is also in the process of being build. Please hang tight and report any bugs that you might see or encounter in this thread. Thanks!

The forum has been flipped to default to the Forums4Airports BETA style. You can adjust the system/light/dark mode toggle either at the top or bottom of the forum and if you have any feedback, do let us know!

Seems to be only changing the avatar. I thought it was a photo block?

For my "twopenny worth", I think the forum looks fine.
I am a desktop user except when I am away and I use a tablet. I rarely use my phone.
