Yep it does feel like a missed opportunity for Virgin

Manchester, VFR to India, a transit hub, and expanded ops in MAN… all are hugely missed opportunities. Alas we both don’t run the airline. Otherwise I’d of based 6-8 aircraft there.

in light of the Virgin/Delta/Indigo tie-up, it's probably best that Virgin aren't doing any routes to India so that they can concentrate on planning a new transatlantic route.

It seems to be due to a lack of downtime on the 787 schedule, which means that there is little opportunity to recover the schedule when things go wrong. As a result every delay becomes magnified.

Has anyone else noticed the Indigo flights are always heavily delayed?
6E33 has been severely delayed every day this week

Makes sense, surely with how much it’ll cost them in compensation (and lost bookings but difficult to quantify) they’ll consider scaling back and not running before they walk?

SPD Travel has tweeted that Indigo are dropping MAN at the end of August, and LHR at the end of October. Looks like the new head honcho doesn’t fancy long haul- could also have big implications for Norse.
Really not surprised by this, most ventures associated with Norse go the same way !

SPD reporting that Indigo will finish MAN routes at the end of August. Norse to redeploy their aircraft on Thailand routes but not sure of origin.

Hopefully someone steps in. Seems like a no brainer with load factors and one stop middle east issues still to be resolved.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
