Use this prefix for new threads for Leeds Bradford Airport
A Jet2 spokesperson has confirmed that due to a lack of Castrol GTX the aircraft lost its bearings and landed at Manchester instead of Split.
Suppose we should be thankful it was going to SPU rather than LJU because isn't that the code for Lubricanta!!!

Out of 109 aircraft in the Pegasus fleet only 10 are Boeings (738s) the rest are A320/A320 neos and A321neos which might explain why they have let a relatively new 738 leave as they move to a 100% Airbus fleet.
Stay friendly with pegasus i say then if they have some pretty new 737 800s!
Bet you all now LBA remains a 737 only base for sometime, perhaps a case of keep all your 737s in one basket!!

I agree LBA4EVER. I suspect LBA will be the last base to see A321s.

If what I’ve heard is true, Oh how both you might be surprised sooner rather than later…

And everything turned out all white in the end!!!

@lbaspotter I take it there is a suggestion we may see some A21N’s at LBA then - good for capacity growth and noise levels if true. Or is it we get the ex TCX A321s as places like BHX and MAN get more A21N’s.

At the end of the day LBA is, and will still be, quite stand constrained and if new airlines appear with based a/c and other existing carriers expand, the sensible way for Jet2 to go is to increase aircraft size to increase capacity. Of course this could also mean 733s replaced with 738s. I am sure we will hear for definite once it’s commercially appropriate

Nothing on the grapevine my end about 321s at Leeds!
Latest is 733s until 2029!

I cant see a need for capacity increase at present. Loads aren’t high enough! I personally have seen a full aircraft about 4x this summer. Rest of the time it’s about 75%.

My mate was on a 733 to Faro on Friday afternoon and said it looked 50% full…GDFO wont last another 5 years with all the problems its having.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?
LBA: B737-300 G-GDFK empty down to Paris at 16:15 to operate the return LS268 back to Leeds 20:00 ETA where it will then operate the delayed LS265 to Malaga 20:40ETD
LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
