Unless an astroid hits earth or the "mutant" strain develops and starts walking around with 2 heads infecting people there is absolutely no reason you should not be going away in September. At all.
Have you been watching the film love and monsters haha you never know regarding the astroid, who would of thought we would have all this virus crap at the start of 2020 haha
Within this country the pandemic is pretty much over, but believe you me if air travel opens up again it will be a case of here we go again.

The press conferences :ROFLMAO: In all honestly I do not do Sci Fi :ROFLMAO:

Really wont be a case of here we go again. We have a decent vaccine programme and have seen the sharp decrease to only 18 deaths registered yesterday with COVID on the certificate after a positive test in the last 28 days. So really how many of those were deaths from COVID and not an underlying cause but conveniently have tested positive for COVID?

We won't be getting a third wave. You can also not compare this summer to last; considering last no vaccine was present and no heard immunity was built up within communities around Europe - this year it's very different. I've read from reliable sources on twitter who are out there fighting miss information and the repeated scare mongering that the vaccine is reliable. Ultimately if it has been made from the source of infection and not mutant strains then we are fine. Oh and you only have to look at where these "mutant strains" are found and you'll discover the real problem is infection control in the NHS and not travel.

More likely is a London bus crashing into Earth if you believe the Daily Mail since according to them the asteroids that threaten our planet are always the size of a London bus, if not two, or three if you believe they always arrive together!

they say that we are in a very safe part of space where there are less asteroids, makes you think though, its a massive universe out there beyond what we can imagine, anything could strike earth as we just dont no whats out there, they also say that some asteroids can go undetected! :nailbiting: :nailbiting:

Fantastic that routes are starting up but, in my opinion, there needs to be more holiday destinations and less Eastern European routes. FR should up their game and extend their holiday destination choice to offer new routes to entice pax away from MAN. Wouldnt it be great if they offered more more ( or any)routes (and competition for Jet2) to France, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, other parts of Spain, Greece, Gran Canaria, Balearics.

Before the same old "infrastructure posts" begin I would say @Heathrowflyer the reason for not offering such routes is more likely to do with they are just going after the trunk routes. What I mean by that is the routes that offer are very high volume of passengers where the revenue is higher/profits and yields are higher. I would love more routes by Ryanair and I would love nothing more then a 4-5 aircraft base offered by Ryanair but unfortunately I think they are very happy offering a "staple" set of routes which they know will deliver higher revenue and profits week in week out.

Yes FR might be missing a trick here as there is likely to be pent up demand for bucket and spade routes. Assuming all safe, I expect the Canaries to do a bomb in W21/22. And Jet2 virtually close down mid winter, so if they stick to plan this is definitely a trick missed by Ryanair. Unless of course, because there is slack in a/c utilisation here, they will add capacity if they see the demand developing. Let’s hope it turns out to be a busier winter than we have had for a while!

Whilst they used to almost close in winter after the expansion into the south and midlands, and Jet2holidays getting bigger, the operation rarely closes now @Finger66. In fact if the winter planned this year is an indicator they’ll be busy. Plus they do a hell of a lot of ski flying at weekend.

I think Ryanair will respond to what happens personally. Like you I see more canaries added closer to the time.

Ryanair seem to be slowly loading S22 for sale, LBA always seems to get left until a lot later for some reason.. i doubt Jet2 will have much of a quieter winter if can be avoided / Canaries get the green light, airlines need as much revenue as possible from this year, with seasons getting extended.

They say Canaries is profit making but overall winter is loss making. I can very much see Winter been less loss making then usual for airlines as the computers etc hike the prices due to overwhelming demand. Be nice to see Ryanair on all 4 Canary routes this winter.

As for S22, maybe Ryanair release in a certain way. By airport groups? Or fleet groups? After all releasing flights for summer with 300+ aircraft to plan. Oh we are over thinking - it is not to overwhelm IT.

It's only so as to fool the GALBA lot into claiming Ince again that Ryanair have left LBA - only to look even more stupid when they are still here.

agreed but this year is certainly different with a lot of people desperate to get away, if demand is showing/maintained, I would definitely expect airlines to ramp up their winter ops, especially Canaries/FNC / Green light countries.

There must be some changes to the Ryanair flights as just been notified of a change in the 2nd and 20th August that the late morning flight I had (from memory) has been changed to a 7.05am departure and likewise a change to the return leg.

Incidentally, yesterday when I was trying to change the flights to 2022 they stated that the Leeds flight would be uploaded in August!! If I was to change yesterday I had to choose another airport which, on top of the £90 per person charge x 5, was a bitter pill to swallow!!

Good News:
After todays news that Portugal is on the Governments Green List low cost airline Ryanair is relaunching its Leeds/Bradford to Faro route as quickly as possible, so the service will initially operate 2x weekly (Tue & Thu) commencing from May 18th 2021 with flights now on sale at www.ryanair.com

Flights will operate as follows.
FR2504 = FAO 13:50 - LBA 16:50 / FR2503 = LBA 17:15 - FAO 20:10

Well thats the holiday season screwed and airlines stuffed, only 9 green countries inc australia which you cant visit anyway, faroe islands and iceland(hardly sun destinations) and israel (interesting place)
Spain, italy and france all amber!
Turkey is well out of bounds as its a red country! So thats it folks portugal it is unless you can do the quarantine when you return home

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
