That'll be the Scarlets who play Toulon on the 19th September

It's nice to see that sport is giving the airport a few movements, I forgot about the scarlets in Toulon, I'll put it down to age.

Missed Swansea’s movements

Departed on Eastern Airways E145 G-CHMR on Friday to Liverpool

Returned on Eastern Airways E170 G-CIXW last night from Liverpool.
It's strange that both Cardiff City and Swansea City often use air transport for away matches whereas Bristol City with a billionaire owner rarely does, thus BRS gets relatively few sports air movements. Bristol City would have gone to Preston by road. In these straitened times the CWL rugby and football movements are very useful additions.

I don't know the reason for the flight, could it be Wales ladies football team?
Probably. Wales Women play away to Norway Women on 22 September in the UEFA Women's Championship.

There are three further matches left in this competition for Wales, all at home. Against Faroe Islands on 22 October, Norway on 26 October and Belarus on 30 November.

This will undoubtedly lead to more charter flights to CWL.

I think ryanair 737 700 based in stn,so it might be ok. Is it sport related.

Ryanair FR 45 departure to Parma at 1300 today, Ryanair flights at CWL for the next five days, I appreciate that this an exception, but it would be nice to see it become a reality, after covid of course.

More Rugby flights next Friday 9th, Ryanair from Parma, Cityjet from Belfast, and Blue Islands from Edingburgh, Ryanair returns to Bologna on 10th, Cityjet to Belfast, an Blue Islands out to Glasgow. I expect Huddersfield will fly in from Leeds to play Swansea City on Friday also, but I expect it will be handled by Global Trek, so will not be shown on the terminal flight board.

I got the date mixed up for the Swansea City match, this Saturday is international weekend, with Wales playing Ireland in Dublin, so we will still see a football charter with the Welsh team flying out and back to Dublin.
