Reports on another forum that KLM will be starting a 1 x daily Amsterdam service with E175 aircraft from 31 August this year. The KLM booking engine confirms.

KLM previously operated from SOU until quite recently, suspending operations on 30 March 2019.

I knew KLM had operated from SOU before but hadn't realised it was that recent. I wonder what prompted the restart so soon, especially in today's trying circumstances.

It is interesting as it was reported that the sou route didn't garner enough connection passengers for them

Flybe used to operate SOU - AMS also so probably was a case of not enough demand for 2 carriers.

One of the reasons given in the article is that KLM pulled out of SOU before because of slot constraints at AMS. With the downturn in demand from Covid I guess perhaps slots aren't as much of an issue.
