BHX-GLA and BHX-EDI this evening were both instructed to divert to Manchester. No idea the official reason but doesn't sound good

On Twitter passengers at Glasgow have been told all Flybe flights have been cancelled and that they won't be flying tomorrow either. Also that EY the accountancy firm are travelling to regional airports in preparation for Flybe to go into administration.

The same guy posted a picture of an aircraft at GLA which has supposedly been impounded. A vehicle can clearly be seen parked behind it and something has been taped to the front door, possibly an impound notice.

Very sad if it has come to this :(

Yes i've just seen that tweet. Devastating news for the staff and everyone connected with them and for the many loyal passengers who like me genuinely enjoyed flying with them. They are going to be an airline that a lot of people are going to miss:cry:

There are suggestions that the cancellations and diversions are as a result of an admin error with regards to fuel payments. Not ideal if true.

I guess we'll know for sure in the morning.

Flybe source "the game is up". Won't make announcement till last plane lands tonight - thought to be around 11pm. Flybe do not base any aircraft outside UK overnight therefore limited expected role for CAA

Really annoying me seeing people already banging the "Will I get a refund?" drum on various social media when

1. It hasn't been formally announced yet
2. Can they not spare a thought for those who if the airline has gone under will lose their jobs? I'm sure they'd rather be out of pocket by £100 than their employment

Slots for Virgin now at LHR at the expense of the regional airports
I wouldn't be so sure as they would be considered assets of Flybe and the adminstrators may well want to sell them to the highest bidder if they can sell them. Many of them might go back to IAG.

Looks as if BE2111 EDI to LHR is the last flight in the air to land tonight at 2250. Will that be the last Flybe flight? How sad.

And we all thought it would be brexit that would do the damage. But like the Martians in War of the World it was the microscopic viruses and bacteria that done it.

Very very sad.

Sadly it will not be the only one to go.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
