TBH mate, I really have no idea what you are talking about.

His dissertation is about monarchs public perceptions since the change from charter to LCC. The charter side was amongst other things selling package holidays which they stopped to concentrate on LCC only. Now they are going back to selling more holidays again with monarch holidays albeit not quite charter ops, as well as LCC.

Madrid, Menorca and Paphos are starting earlier next summer. All three resume at the end of March 2018 (this year they resume around the end of April).

W17/18 seems to be a work in progress but encouraging signs for S18 so far :)

Easter is 2 weeks earlier in 2018. Is that the reason?

Salzburg and Turin are now bookable for winter both at the same frequency as last winter. Grenoble and Innsbruck still aren't on sale but the press release did say that more is to be released soon.

As it stands Gibraltar stops for winter, as does Venice (they barely operated last winter). Barcelona is down to 3x weekly in Nov and Jan but there are extra flights over the school holidays. Alicante, Malaga and Las Palmas all gain frequencies on last year.

I think we'll see more changes between now and then.

Presume the plane has come with some crew as Monarch crew not trained on Boeing yet I assume?

Only some of them apparently. Once converted to Boeing they cannot fly the Airbus any more so only a few crews converted so far.

What a nightmare for the changeover period!
If they were trained on the Airbus before what is stopping them from being able to fly both aircraft for Monarch?

Must be the rules. The planes are very different to fly - side stick in Airbus, for example. I have been told by two Monarch pilots (one BHX and one LTN) that once converted that is it. I presume they know what they are talking about.

So does this see us having 10 aircraft operating 2 waves of flights minimum st high summer ...ie 20 plus flights ?

I ask as I thought one aircraft was only due to do one wave originally

once the 738 flights start in mid/late June, their will be an A321 spare in the morning only, the exception is wednesday where 1 A321 is spare all day and a A320 spare just in the morning.

I guess this will help Monarch if they get any technical issues knowing they have a spare airframe available every morning.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
