Leeds Bradford Airport designated Level 3 airport by Department for Transport image: @mdobuk21 Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has been designated by the Department for Transport (DfT) as a Level 3 (Fully Coordinated) airport during the night-time period during British Summer Time. LBA’s application was approved in November following a consultation process conducted by the DfT and capacity assessments by an independent third party. The approval by the DfT means that LBA will be designated Level 3 during the night-time period (2300-0700) during British Summer Time, allowing effective controls that better manage available capacity. Leeds Bradford Airport £100m Regeneration Programme Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has announced over a £100m investment into a vital regeneration of its terminal facilities which will dramatically improve the passenger experience and help unlock economic growth for the region. Approved by Leeds City Council, the work is set to commence in autumn 2023 and is expected to complete in 2026. The Yeadon-based site has now seen two million passengers pass through its doors already during 2023. The airport thanked those who have travelled onto a host of destinations from the site during the first seven months of the year. Leeds Bradford Airport boosts global connectivity with KLM KLM at LBA Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) has announced it will host a fourth daily flight to Amsterdam with KLM. This additional flight is on sale now and will depart every day at 1:20pm from 28th August 2023. This new direct flight is in addition to the three existing KLM flights operating from LBA to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS). These depart at 6:20am, 10:05am and 5:20pm. Both flights departed on Sunday (26th March) from LBA for the first time in the airport’s history.
