Campaigners get legal chance to challenge Southampton Airport runway expansion

A COURT’s decision to refuse a judicial review over controversial plans to expand Southampton Airport’s runway has been overturned.

Opponents of Southampton Airport's plan to extend the runway by 164 metres have won an appeal against the High Court's rejection of a judicial review application into the local authority's decision to approve the runway planning application.

It's expected that the judicial review will be heard next summer.
