A lot of the time when i mention that i'm flying from CWL a lot of the replies is that it's way cheaper to go from BRS. So i decided to do a price comparison of all the routes flown out of CWL that also get flown out of BRS as part of me looking at prices to go away and then decided to post the results!
The week i have been looking at is from Monday 17th July 2017 to Monday 24th July 2017 and took a snapshot of the routes.
Part 1 Flybe.

Belfast Flybe £79 Easyjet £54.00
Berlin Flybe £133 Easyjet £113
Cork Flybe £66 Aer Lingus £102
Dublin Flybe £86 Ryanair £43 Aer Lingus £86
Dusseldorf Flybe not on sale yet BMI £190
Edinburgh Flybe £77 Easyjet £66
Faro Flybe £154 Easyjet £140 Ryanair £190
Glasgow Flybe £81 Easyjet £56
Guernsey Flybe (Blue Islands) £79 Aurigny £118
Jersey Flybe (CWL) £82 Flybe (Blue Islands) £88
Milan Flybe £93 Ryaniar £78 BMI £162
Munich Flybe £117 BMI £189
Paris CDG Flybe £102 Easyjet £103
Rome FCO Flybe £99 Easyjet £129

In Summary although BRS is cheaper on most routes the gap on many isn't that big and on some Flybe are cheaper.
(I'll post GLA BHD and DUS prices when they get released)
Edit 1/12/16 Still waiting for DUS to be released.
And as i side thought i wonder if Flybe would be more competitive/cheaper if they operated bigger aircraft ie A319?

Part 2 Vueling and Iberia Express and Ryanair.
Iberia Express Vueling Easyjet Ryanair (BRS)
Madrid Iberia Express £85 Easyjet £111
Barcelona Vueling £92 Easyjet £84 Ryanair £139
Alicante Vueling £211 Easyjet £141 Ryanair £107
Malaga Vueling £177 Easyjet £138 Ryanair £147
PMI Vueking £134 Easyjet £150 Ryanair £147

Faro Ryanair (CWL) £173 Easyjet £140 Ryanair (BRS) £190
Tenerife South Ryanair (CWL) £245 Easyjet £208 Ryanair (BRS) £267
It does look like BRS is more cheaper on the whole if you want to travel to Spain but Ryanair routes from CWL are cheaper than the same ones from BRS and IB Express is significantly cheaper than EZY!

Part 3 KLM.

Amsterdam KLM (CWL) £97 KLM (BRS) £85 Easyjet £80

I also decided to compare several long haul routes via AMS on the KLM service.
JFK CWL £846 BRS £847
EWR CWL £846 BRS £848
LAX CWL £1284 BRS £1285
SFO CWL £1075 BRS £976
MCO CWL £701 BRS £702
DXB CWL £509 BRS £509
PEK CWL £865 BRS £866
SIN CWL £1011 BRS £1011

In comparison directly BRS has the cheaper AMS flights but not drastically cheaper but on the long haul flights there is no difference between the 2 and KLM seem to be pricing them up equally and there is no reason price wise for people to choose between the two airports.
In all CWL does seem to be more competitive with BRS which should bring back passengers from the other side of the bridge though with BRS does have the advantage of frequency and bigger aircraft with many of it's routes.

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!

survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
