Cornwall Airport Newquay - General Thread

I bet Cornwall Council will be mega peed off by #Flybe ceasing to trade again after apparently offering lots of incentives to get them to return, while apparently snubbing other year-round offerings from airlines such as #Loganair ...

tomorrow see’s that start of what is set to be a busy summer this year. 10 depts on the board compared to 6 at CWL, NQY really will feel different again this year. I flew out to Dublin last week and the only thing I will say is that I have no idea how the terminal and tiny facilities will manage. The Alicante flight which went before our Dublin flight last Friday drank the bar dry!!!
Not complaining however.. if they have good loads on all the flights, passenger numbers will rocket this year..
The council having decided not to sell it are going to have to think about how they might expand the facility (quickly)

Looking at the predictions for passenger numbers this year, could NQY eclipse EXT? Based on last year it would by 100k pax or more… some job that would be!
Can we get AMS????? Surely that has to be on the list…

Time for a link back to LBA. Back in the days of Flybe it was a busy route, several times weekly,.and at one time operated by an E190 at weekends.
Eastern, and Covid, ruined things between them but it's a route that would do well with the right Carrier and equipment.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
