If it does get rejected, the airport have the option of extending the current terminal which does have approval. Not ideal I know but it would be a kick in the teeth of those who are all environment this and environment that as they’ve just stopped the go head of an efficient terminal which...
It would appear Yorkshire Tiger are to recommence operations into LBA from 28th June on services 737 & 747. Monday to Saturday both services will operate to an hourly service, similar to before COVID-19, however on sundays, looking at the timetable, the 737 will continue to terminate at Yeadon...
Thought I’d post this hear for anyone who would like a read, but there is an article in one of local newspaper about swissport and it’s plans to cut the workforce by 50%, know it’s been mentioned on another thread, but didn’t want to clutter it up with something not related to that company...
Quite looking forward to new operators on the airport buses. Yorkshire Tiger clearly gave up along time ago with they’re buses being maintained and cleaned on these routes. Makes you wonder if they will also drop the 737/747 early.

Found this on T&A in regards to a local green councillor questioning the airport expansion. Swear the Green Party does anything to get itself in the spotlight, scared of...
Unfortunately I can’t see Icelandair being a contender until the issues with the 737 max are rectified.
The BA route to LHR was also vital for a fair few staff who I know who work for the company to get to and from work before operating flights out of LHR. I know some who don’t like the idea of...
Such a sad thing to see them go, but it’s honestly not a surprise. But in reality if I had a choice of travelling BA or KLM I would always choose KLM even if it was £100 more. I personally feel you get more value you for your money with KLM compared to BA and the service I’ve always received...
I have already added my support to the project and it won’t get no objections from me. And unfortunately the guy who I was referring to actually referenced on the objection that he lives in Manchester, which I find kind of ironic, seeing as he lives closer to an airport is much bigger in scale...
So I don’t normally do this but I’ve just read a comment from a supposedly economics student who says the expansion is a ‘grab for short-term profits’ and ‘any economic benefits will be incredibly short lived’. He then goes onto say that his generation (which includes me as I’m not much older)...
Telegraph & Argus are reporting a local group called Galba are opposed to the expansion of the airport, and are crow funding to cover the costs of a barrister. Link below to article

Theres also plans for a 2 hourly to Bradford F Square from next may along with huddersfield added to the train map for services to london. Makes you wonder how this would impact the LHR service from LBA
So before I made judgement on the programme Yorkshire Airport, I decided to allow it to run a couple of episodes as I didn't feel like one was enough to go on.
First of all I must say I am embarrassed to call it my local airport, it doesnt portray the airport in a good light at all. The...
That's correct. Jet2 are the only ones to use Hall B with the exception of certain situations. For example the other year Hall B was Used by KLM, Aer Lingus & BA when the upgrades work was being carried out on Hall A baggage system.
Jet blue have just announced they are to operate to London from Boston and New York with A321LR. Wouldn't it be nice if LBA could manage to persuade them to operate to JFK. It would give excellent connections onto other JetBlue flights at T5. How I can dream...
If it’s the doors I’m thinking of, the doors are propped upon on a mechanism where if the doors moved enough it will start to shut, I’ve seen it numerous times arriving back in LBA where someone has brushed the door as they pass and it’s caused it to close and lock by itself. Now if this happens...
Problem with that is it takes the train on average 4-5 hours to travel from Doncaster to Southampton, so the times will be similar if it was moved to Leeds. Not ideal for your business travellers who want to fly down in a morning to make a 10am meeting in Southampton. Then again when you come to...
This is the same company who recently replaced 24 airbridges on pier B at Brussels Airport, including making one of them A380 compitable. Be good to get the air bridges back in working order!
It was due to be resurfaced when the construction of the walkway was to take place. Unfortunately I get the feeling that the previous owners didn’t like the idea of spending any more money than needed on it and decided to keep what it was.
Would have been nice instead of the walkway a proper...
