I flew on the first flight. The ATR was supposed to be a stop-gap awaiting certification of the E135/145, but it never happened.

I hope so because its been tried many times before and failed every time. Having said that it will be the only link to Gatwick from the north of England so if they have a code share it could draw in pax from all over.

LGW services always seem to fail eventually. There are some useful connections but not many and even then there has to be a code share or similar to permit through ticketing.

Speaking to people I know they just drive to EMA and use Ryanairs flights to Bergerac.

I agree Kotor is amazing and if I remember the setting for the airport is spectacular. What I dont understand is why DBV isnt more freuquent. I use Bergerac and flights are always full (despite extortionate prices) yet only one a week!

Unsure what you mean. I dont think the airport controlled the traffic. No doubt owe Teesside and Bournemouth a small fortune in unpaid bills.

I dont think the trend towards late booking helps either.

Looks like European Cargo have gone into administration. That didn't last long unfortunately. Im sure they must owe the airport a considerable amount in landing fees and handling charges- so doubly depressing...

I agree with you entirely, however the airports justification for halting the stand building project was that they could achieve the projected increase to 7m passengers based on the use of larger aircraft.

We had Santorini as a Jet2 destination for several years but it stopped for no apparent reason- I think only a couple of years ago, strange its now been reinstated.
