They are doing 6 weeks due diligence and then deputy 1st minister will report back to MSPs the full story still to come out but its believed they will be getting a private firm to operate it dont know who but anyones better than at the moment
Are going to be new aircraft recycling company who are moving into the old Polar hanger once the BA lease expires in a few weeks plans are to start with 1 aircraft a month with expansion planned wish them all the best
Breaking news today the airport to go into public ownership with the deputy 1st announcing to MSPs at 2.30 today that the scottish government have aquired it from Infratil
Interseting times ahead
Festival went very well flyin got scrubbed due weather but we had a small static this weekend and expansion planned next year like an airshow as there is a gap in the market now due Leuchars ending
To celebrate 100 years of aviation at Prestwick this innaugural event takes place between 30th Aug and 8th Sept with films,books exhibitions and plays there is also a fly in/air display on the 31st August not sure of participants at this stage
Egyptair flight MSR985 a B777 fromCairo to JFK has been escorted into here by RAF Typhoon Q jets after a security alert the aircraft is now remotely parked

The upturn continues numbers for May up 14% on last year hopefully it goes on into the peak season with FR adding extra flights to Malaga/Faro and Palma :drinks:
Not sure to be honest and we didnt have a lot of diversions during winter to add to them,FR have increased slightly on recent years and their flights must be busy
