Hi all
I am usually resident at the LBA forum as it is my local, however I am going to Coventry University this September which makes BHX my temporary local. It is an airport I have never visited before so I would like to know how spotter friendly it is and if there are any good spots?
I know...
Thought he looked high as he passed over me, also seemed to deploy his landing gear early as I saw the gear go down, that doesn't usually happen in my sight line, seemed a little peculiar.
Also just seen OM-GTF come over me, they say every cloud has a silver lining and the irregular visitor...
Indeed it is, just flown over my house, I have a soft spot for the K-max though as it was the tie breaker in an air cadet aircraft recognition competition, I knew what it was and that saw me, as team captain take home the regional trophy for my squadron.
Plus it looks weird, that's why I learned...
Freighter wise, what are we expecting, the usual BAe 146s of TNT (now ASL) as per last time or something more exotic, in a dream world I'm hoping for something Ukrainian.
Managed to find it, looks like it's in Canadian airspace near Calgary and Edmonton. It's making good progress and I certainly hope it's going to be Leeds based.
Socata TBM 700 N2PD inbound now, just flown over my house, it was pretty noisy and quick for such a dinky little thing
EDIT: Never mind, turned off and headed to church Fenton according to FR24
(Oops, look a bit of a fool now, called it too early)
It looks like the Titan is G-POWC,
Do we know how long it's subbing for the monarch, just today or longer?
I also wonder If we will be getting the same monarch A320 back?
Hmmm, interesting, I never knew air India were considering an LBA service, but more routes are never bad, and I presume they will have to use the 787 as the 777 is too big, and to get a 787 in Leeds would be great, of course it may never happen, but it's good to be optimistic.
