Indeed but sadly, until the extension is built, everyone has to funnel/queue through the same corridor along the front on the terminal, its a bottleneck. Hopefully the new extension, when finally built, will solve this issue.

I always understood you couldn’t lay asphalt over concrete because they expand and contract at different rates but maybe any engineers could confirm. Hope I’m wrong because lba’s runway currently feels like a cattle grid.

not to get anyone's hopes up but a new parking stand has been marked, 14A, this runs diagonally across stand 13,14 and 15 with a lead in line from the D taxiway at D3, the Delta taxiway is the only one with an allowable wingspan of 61m... Believe it when you see it though!

Exactly the same experience for me Whoshotjimmy. Fast track and sailed through in 5 minutes. Tbf as you say, the main queue was not too bad at all.
