I doubt it because LCC have already proposed to close Scotland Lane as a cut through which would be fine if they sorted out the main roads to the airport but they chose to can the link road.
It infuriates me that the BBC gives so much screen time and website space to GALBA. They only have a small number of members. The replies in favour of the airport on social media clearly shows the depth of support for the airport but they don't seem to care about that.

UK airlines hedge their fuel cost by buying fuel for the year ahead when the price is right. This manoeuvre allows airlines some flexibility. There is of course the actual availability of the fuel itself which could become a problem at some point.
