31st October start for the fourth daily here and a 1st November end for the CWL service, the two seem quite linked here, it's very curious, perhaps the only thing that springs to mind is more people from BRS are using the pre clearance and one stop flights perhaps ?
I'm pretty sure that any return in March that has been mooted coincides with Wales v Ireland in the six nations in March next year, could well be around the 10th something like that anyway, always found the Aer Aerann, Aer Lingus regional / stobart air ( seems to have gone in that order over the...
The first part yokel was always my understanding too, always averaged near the 70% LF Mark, and it's exactly why this is a huge blow with regards to the pre clearance at DUB and also the one stop connections to various destinations to the U.S, could well be that the 4th daily on various days has...
Agree with both the above posts, This is where I am extremely cautious of competitors, It was interesting last night when I was browsing on the Flybe website and Dublin was appearing double on weekdays and Glasgow 6 weekly, Glasgow had been scheduled to go 11 X weekly with a double daily on...
Aer Lingus confirmed to me on Twitter that the DUB route is to be axed from November 1st, incredibly annoyed about this, last thing we wanted was to see them ousted, especially if BE decide to up sticks like the last time, very sad and dissapointing
A little bit of further information for any interested
Ex Avion express LY-VEO has now been registered 5B-DCQ, the aircraft visited the LTM ( Lufthansa Technik Malta ) facility on the 23rd May and departed again on the 26th seemingly with Cobalt titles added, I also saw today that the aircraft...
Further to AG14's post
They Performed there acceptance flight last week from Larnaca to Heraklion, further more it secured its AOC just recently too, Cardiff apparently is set for the end of July, although with a press conference seemingly scheduled within the next few days, all will become...
Thanks Local, it does look a lot better in person too, less cramped and messy for a start, good progress has been made in revamping the airport from the outside, arrivals, check in and now departures , next step is convincing more airlines to use it !
Back from a lovely few days in the Algarve flying with Flybe, both flights well loaded, 89 outbound and 92 inbound, lovely comfortable aircraft as well, both flights on time so I can't complain at all with the service
Departure lounge is looking increasingly better, more vibrant with renovation...
Tends to vary how many actually go to these meetings , if the previous are anything to go buy it'll take ages to upload the notes onto the website, Only news around at the moment is the departure lounge relaunch which I think invitations are being put across Twitter.
There was said to be big...
The Beer house looks very good, someone put a picture up on Twitter not so long ago( credit @wardnicholson) , looks refreshed for sure, the Twitter page of the airport have been trying to get a singer and a freelance journalist in the last few days - linked to the relaunch of the departure area...
Thanks for that Local, shall be interesting to digest the loads on Flybe services in the coming weeks, hopefully this will show increases on certain routes MUC being one of these, Stats should continue to grow until around October/November ish where they should start to level out following the...
Apologies, I didn't make that very clear, although I imagine Easyjet fares are rather more cheaper than KLMs
I've always said if I was travelling towards the Middle East/Asia I would use KLM, if it was America for example I would use Aer Lingus, both have extremely strong connecting figures...
Many thanks for that Yokel, even if it was a few times weekly for leisure purposes I think an additional carrier could do well, Kl will always do well with regards to business and onward connections, always found them quite expensive if your not traveling on anywhere, Do EZY take a mix of both ?
Very true, certainly the last month or two have been extremely promising, of course the extra frequencies with the E190 have helped, 10,659 in Feb, 11,176 in March which is very pleasing, with the Fokker 70 being phased out over the next coming years, the E175 is an option for CWL rotations.
I imagine a 4th daily would atleast be considered, numbers on the route have been gradually Improving for quite a few months now, quite surprised BE didn't look at this this rather than double up on Glasgow
Absolutely, found the 4 hours flew by, good comfortable seats and decent leg room in row 12 as well, for £360 for all inclusive break it was a real bargain.
The A321 presence here a few years ago was announced very late in the day for that particular summer, the Thomas cook product for here was...
Indeed it is good news, Thomas Cook started today I think yokel with a flight to Larnaca, it does look a lot better in my view than a plain white livery, we were quite unfortunate with regards to having an Avion express A320 a couple of years ago and the reliability was awful, it was not...
Many thanks Aviador :), they would certainly be a positive
, would be nice to see some growth with regards to the holiday market, as I've stated before Thomson and Thomas cook have been extremely static, the Jet2 Holiday side of this would certainly change this.
