Anyone remember the first Air India B707 flight on its service into the airport, me and some mates went into the terminal and saw a group of indian dancers and a band they were throwing confeti everywhere, if memory serves me right.

I remember her well, when I worked at the airport we used to be ground ops for Highland Express, one day after taking the pax off her, she was due to position up to Glasgow empty, and I was offered to fly up there in her just with flight crew, but would have had to get a flight back to BHX when...
I saw it simon, I went up to the last but one level of the multi storey elmdon side, I didn't see it arrive but saw it parked on the 06 end of the 06-24 runway, lorries where ferrying back and forth from it.
It was quite a sight.

I remember H and Ash and Tiny and Worzel(his knick name) and someone affectionatly named Fudge (he did have a talent for telling a few porkies - aka Fudging.

Remember the Qantas B747 our first jumbo, if Im right they had to send down to Heathrow for a steps extension, as our present steps where not tall enough, might be wrong but Im sure somone told me that at the drome.

I worked at the airport from April - Sep for MAS check in duties and Dep/Arr escort duties, the times I have put air bridges on anything from Ryanair Bac 1-11 to Highland Express B747, some difference.
Anything from this period would be great.
