You'll be spot on with Air NZ, great airline, BA.........let's see how you do! I did a similar trip 2 years ago but was Emirates to SYD, Qantas to CHC, Air NZ to SFO and Virgin to LHR

Only ever flown short haul with BA and had no problems and it was a good price as well. I've wanted to fly long haul with them for a while now. Definitely something to look forward to in the future.
