I have to agree with you Jerry. Unless they have something up their sleeve. But it seems only Airlines are making announcements and not airports.
I don't know how many aircraft Eastern have left. Or are in service. They have recently put their ERJ 145 up for sale I think.
Airlines will go where the money is. Unfortunately at this stage it looks like CWL are in a spot of bother judging by other announcements across the UK. I hope I am wrong but Eastern seem interested else where and loganair have washed their hands with CWL.
I'm sure Cityjet could get a booking system up and running like Eastern did last month. But your right in saying its Eastern with any sort of chance of returning wwith some intra UK routes.
I know they had some parked J41 but they have probably been utilised now with their expansion.
I have to agree with the comments that loganair will not be back. CWL only hope will be Eastern if they can find suitable aircraft or blue islands or Aurigny.
On another note maybe Cityjet can be tempted back as they have a few aircraft spare at the moment. Doesn't seem an impossibility.
They will be some sort of BE presence hence the latest tweet in relation to CWL. Its anyone's guess as to what the timetable will look like.
Eastern taking over the regional routes would have some eye watering prices to say the least especially if flown on the J41. I would only thought that...
In fairness WX ran an old ATR on the ORY and EDI routes which broke down fairly regularly. Yes WX came to save the day but in the end they only ran a limited service. Its like 2013 repeating itself and I hope they stick with their statement and still fly from CWL but I certainly won't be...
Could somebody confirm whether the ABZ flight from CWL will return? Skyscanner seems to think so. I'm booking for August and its a 3hr journey so it possibly means that it stops in NCL like it used to? Have not gone further back than August. Any clarification will be appreciated. Thanks
I can vividly remember the last time Flybe went through a restructuring exercise. BE stated that CWL was fine then it went down to EDI AND GLA, then Loganair took over the EDI route then they left completely with Cityjet picking the big 4 routes. You cant help but think the worse, although I do...
This is obviously paving the way for the ABZ PSO route. and who know a NCL route as a stop off. Please forgive if im wrong but T3 only need a few passengers on the J41 to break even. the NCL route gets 8-10 plus regularly. Both Cardiff and Westminster plus the Scottish Government will look to...
Hi Jerry.
I believe the route works well for Eastern. Its a shame that they cant get a bigger aircraft that could ease the fare price. There is a market for it for both ABZ and NCL. Whether they will turn to PSO routes is another matter.Apart from logan air, Flybe would be the most obvious...
Thanks for the kind words guys. I do tend to travel to ABZ a few times during the year, most recent from BHX as per my profile pic which was taken from gate 4. CWL would be a much better option but the prices are eye watering to say the least. They are however maintaining their loads to within a...
Hi Guys. New member here, il get straight into it. Has anyone else heard about the routes that Ken Skates was looking into. Manchester Aberdeen etc? And what do other members think about the potential with these routes? Thanks.
