    Birmingham Airport - General Thread

Thank you Jenny, interesting stuff there. I suppose as the situation regarding testing develops, and if we have future 'waves' of infection, blame could in principle be attached to an airport or the individual concerned (and probably others I haven't thought of) in addition to those mentioned above.

    Birmingham Airport - General Thread

I don't imagine any airline would knowingly do that, but if, say, a person or family in quarantine at the other end were to develop symptoms or otherwise indicate (eg pass it on) they had carried the virus over with them, could the airline be found negligent? The way things are at the moment...

I wonder if an airline which delivers a Covid-infected person into another country could be held liable, and maybe sued out of business? Perhaps Jennyjet will comment.

They should be detained in the Tower of London, keeping an eye on any sign of infection or tendency to seize the Throne.

    BHX Movements and Heads Up

FR24 is showing another Royal Flight doing Hefei-Moscow-BHX, a 767 this time.

That plane flew back to Moscow last night and is now headed in this direction - hopefully the one CL44 mentioned.

    BHX Movements and Heads Up

I hear a Royal Flight (the airline) 777 is or was due in from Hefei, China sometime this week - may be the heavy someone was asking about earlier. The airline has call sign ABG on Flightradar24 if anyone wants to check.

    Nostalgia at BHX

Ah thank you, I never knew that. I had thought he came in a Galaxy but obviously not.

    Nostalgia at BHX

Seeing that Air Force One pic reminded me of maybe the most awesome old-time event I can remember of BHX (no pics I'm afraid). I was out near Barston, which happens to be under the flight path for 33, when a huge dark shape drifted slowly low overhead - a USAF Lockheed Galaxy which I believe...

    Nostalgia at BHX

I remember airlines which were around for a long time like Britannia, but I see Orion only existed for 10 years - I must have blinked then.

When I first saw this (never heard of Orion) my instant reaction was Boeing 707. Then I noticed it had lost some engines!

    Random Stuff!

Undoubtedly someone will profit from this, but the main point is if everyone wears one, no-one can easily transmit via the air, so everyone benefits (except the infected ones!). Just now added to the BBC news page: The World Health Organization's special envoy on coronavirus, Dr David Nabarro...

    Random Stuff!

But thankfully if everyone wears one you only need to block the transmission :)

    Random Stuff!

It may or may not work with viruses but I wouldn't be too surprised if something similar became mandatory as we try to get out of this lockdown mess, at least until a vaccine becomes widely available.

    Random Stuff!

Bit surprised we haven't seen people in scuba kit yet.
