The 9th also saw a Pegasus A321neo return to MAN on a technical diversion after departure. FR24 listed a replacement aircraft positioning in late evening the same day, though I didn't monitor it's arrival.
Folks still want their holidays, but several destinations are currently out of the reckoning due to conflicts and high costs arising from them. For this reason, attractive EuMed destinations are in high demand, whilst highly-priced options such as the US and conflict zone options such as Dubai...
Hi Scottie. There were no visits to MAN by SpiceJet. I suspect that the culprit was a Corendon B738 which served a Winter lease with them but has now returned home to the core fleet. FR24 has not updated its labelling yet. Hope this helps. Thanks for the logs as always.
Well two of the missing flights on that day are my cancelled outbound EasyJet MAN-HAM flight and it's corresponding return to MAN. They have trimmed afew from the schedule. My cheap day-return to ALC with Ryanair from T3 on Tuesday was booked as a replacement for this trip. Set me back all of...
The clue is in the mention of T1. The sign pre-dates the transfer of the final batch of carriers into T2, leaving Ryanair Group alone in T3 and T1 closed. I would expect the signage to be removed in due course.
No. It would be that the two terminals are not physically linked airside. There is no airside walking route, and it is not viable to operate a frequent bus link to serve a terminal used by a single customer (Ryanair Group) which does not support connecting flights. All interline carriers are now...
That is arguable. The outbound experience is better for all from T2. The inbound experience is a slight downgrade based upon consensus anecdotal accounts, but most complaints appear to come from BA Shuttle passengers. The arrival experience initially planned for them (biometrics) was rejected...
I respectfully disagree. Same-Terminal transfer is a big positive. MAN was not able to offer this before. Ryanair Group don't do interline at MAN, so all business opportunities in this area involve carriers which now use T2.
There was a prolonged unplanned runway closure on 23R/05L this morning to allow a pothole to be fixed. 23L/05R config requires a significantly reduced landing rate. Weather was poor also which complicated things. All back open now, but backlog to be cleared.
We need to keep in mind that Norse operates a combined fleet of just 12 B787-9 aircraft, and 5 of these are committed to IndiGo for the foreseeable future. That leaves just seven aircraft to service the remainder of the operation. Presume one aircraft in for maintenance, and that is just enough...
Most likely scenario is that they’re planning for a fourth daily scheduled service, but they have booked two alternative sets of slots at this stage. They will keep the ones they want if and when timings are finalised for the additional service. Meanwhile, I’m sure we’ll all be very surprised if...
