Ryanair are infuriating. So many unserved routes at BRS, and lots of others that could do with an increase in frequency but they simply copy EasyJet, I don’t think they can have anyone working on routes, they just see what EasyJet do. They’re even flying on the same days of the week.
Used the new interchange today and it’s very impressive. Great signage, very spacious, no more lugging cases up zigzag walkways and steps. Really easy to use the drop and go. If all the money collected from drop and go over the years has gone towards creating the new interchange then it’s money...
Isn’t it always the way. You wait years for a route to come along and then airlines then try to compete… Marrakech, Istanbul, Porto now Zurich.
Good selection of new routes though. Some big hubs there but I guess a point-to-point operator is better than no operator.
Also some good...
Bristol focusing on european hubs with national carriers would be better (albeit not as headline-grabbing) than a ME carrier. We need Swiss/Austria, Turkish and Finnair for global connectivity.
Great to see them trying a new route from Bristol rather than just duplicating easyJet routes already in existence. However, the flight time is poor should you want to visit Tirana for a weekend break.
I’m glad to see Ryanair has woken up a little after years of stagnation at BRS
I really hoped Wizz would slowly expand from BRS. They have a lot of European bases that could fly here. They serve a lot of cities that wouldn’t even compete with EasyJet or Ryanair but as someone else said, they chop and change their routes frequently. Not an airline I could trust to fly me...
2 days per week too (Fri and Mon) which makes it much more attractive, although checking a couple of weekend trips next May comes in at over £330 return!
