Looks like we only had the Jet2 aircraft diverting to LBA as FR24 was showing a 767 heading in to land at MAN, and as I type the news says Manchester is now back to normal as far as arrivals and departures are concerned.

A Qatar Airways flight from Doha has been escorted into Manchester by an RAF Typhoon after the pilot received info that a "device" might be on board. I'm watching it on the news now and it says flights are being diverted to LBA.

According to FR24 Ryanair are using an AirExplore 737-400 for this mornings FR153 to Dublin. I heard it but couldn't see it.

Seeing on the news today that Edinburgh's new tram system from the city centre to the airport has just opened 3 years late, double the budget and only half the original length, you have to wonder what any rail transport from Leeds to LBIA would end up costing and taking to build!

Anyone know why the aircraft on approach today over Leeds are slightly off the usual flightpath? They are maybe a mile or so to the left of the norm as they approach for a 32 landing.

Some 4-propellered plane has just flown over Leeds - the gear came down so it must have been landing at LBA. Dark in colour. Military?

I'd have loved to have seen all these parked up. Or even a photo. I bet LBA has seen nothing like it!

An Etihad a340-600 is currently at MAN according to Fr24. I've never seen a 600 there. A 300 yes, but never a 600.

Just seen my first ever 787 Dreamliner!! :yahoo: It was a Thomson flight from Manchester to Larnaca. I saw it through the binocs from here in Leeds as it flew over the Peak District. At that distance I couldn't make out much and it was through FR24 that I knew what it was, but still I'm well...

Another LS9'er here and I too heard it as I'd not long gone to bed. Didn't know it was the PIA though. That's some bloody delay!!

Another Embraer 195 has just come in too.

Anybody know what flew over Leeds around 11.15? Sounded like it was heading to the airport, was very loud, but didn't sound like one of the normal aircraft, and it wasn't that military helicopter that's been flying around for the last few days. There was nothing on FR24, and according to the LBA...
