Lufthansa will suspend operations at Liverpool from the 2nd February due to the airline being short of aircraft. It is understood that this is not a permanent decision and once the problem has been solved, they will try start the route back up again.

Perhaps some good news, maybe not for the other airports mentioned.
Along with Lufthansa suspending there route, I have come to learn that Aer Lingus is suspending the routes between Belfast City, Isle of Man and the summer seasonal Jersey.
Could this mean Liverpool is going to get added to...
Very unfortunate news, last half hour.
Lufthansa appear ready to cut the Liverpool route, with flights beyond the 2nd February cancelled.
Would be a big loss for the airport following a large quantity of new routes being added over the last year.

Unfortunate news, was a bit of an odd route in the first place. Hopefully we get another route announcement to fill the slots, or several route increases, otherwise we will have aircraft sitting on the ground for periods next summer.
Aeroroutes has confirmed the Newquay service to be operated by a Liverpool based aircraft, both 737-800s and 737 MAX 8s.
Corfu and Paphos are both to be served by 737-800s only.
Liverpool to Lyon begins next Wednesday, scheduled to be operated by an Airbus A320. This route was last served in April 2012.

Dan Air begins next Thursday, now scheduled on flightradar24. Unless something changes the route will be operated by YR-DSE, an 18.5 year old Airbus A320-232 delivered new to Spanair in June 2005.
