Good evening from Cockermouth. Here is my take on May's statistics as provided by the CAA.

The number of passengers in June 2025 was down - second month in a row - cannot think of any reason why - any ideas ?

Interesting. Bristol hasn't really lost any capacity compared to last year has it?

Not that I am aware of - indeed the end of June saw the 19th easyjet based there
Although there was less passenger aircraft movements according to the report - I thought there was growth in that

I'm away on holiday at present, however I will try to have my analysis ready for Monday evening.

Had a quick look at the CAA stats and many significant routes are down. UK domestic with the exception of Inverness and Isle of Man is all minus. Routes like Alicante, Faro, Tenerife, Berlin are all minus. Amsterdam is down 20%. It'll be interesting to see if the down continues for July or if this is just a blip.

I can only speak from the POV of my local airport (GLA), we were down around 5k, but all of that was a decline in the German market caused by the Euros being on last year.

Data is now available from the CAA for July and here is my usual 'take' on the figures. I have also produced a report showing the July comparative figures since Covid.

I was just about to look at loading the September data for Bristol, however I have noted that the data from Table 3 - Movements - is missing. I have emailed my contact within the CAA and will update when I have received a reply. This is likely to be towards the end of the week.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
