The CAA statistics show GR carried fewer passengers from LBA than EMA and about the same as Liverpool in 2024.

From Liverpool Airports point of view there was no surprise that GR are not returning. Their reliability was frankly appalling, couldn't have been worse for their first year.of operation. Easyjet do very well to Jersey, they could have done the same.

That is positive because I am 99% sure when I checked yesterday that LBA wasn't there. Just tried a dummy booking for Sat 24May to Sat 31May but no flights showing for that whole week on any day - yet!

I see we have got a new once daily Cardiff service operating Monday to Friday from mid December. 16:11 down and 09:45 back. Well done Cross Country .

A surprise for most would imply it’s something very left field. Is an easyjet base at LBA really surprising to most people? I would think most people can’t understand why the largest city in Yorkshire isn’t plugged in fully to easyjet.

Its all getting a bit tense on here with all these rumours and hints of possible new airlines and routes from LBA! Its all healthy though, I will remain calm as this is LBA after all! But what we must remember is that finally the airport is now undergoing a 100 million pound expansion so perhaps the tide has turned!

Am led to believe Aurigny will be Wednesday and Saturday operation next year.

For easyJet, it will be three routes including BFS. Not a base, before anyone gets over excited. The speculation on that front does involve an airport at the top of a hill, but it’s not LBA.

Heads Up!

For some weird reason, my days off work tend to involve being out of my flat by 5am and not getting back until 10pm. Back to work and the regular "fix" of 7.40am to 7.15pm hours
Heatwave Mk2 next week?
Some explosive weather build-ups currently in the North of England. What is it like where you are?

LBA: Albastar B737-800 EC-MUB positioning in tommorow afternoon from Gatwick 15:45 to operate a charter to Lourdes/Tarbes on Friday afternoon 14:00 AP7721 STC
I don't believe I am quite covering enough roles at work. Its now 4 on a bad day, 5 on a good day and there is scope for a 6th and 7th role. Still on minimum pay but had the biggest payrise in the company,
