Don’t need all of them back for BHX, as LGW has lost its 2 class A380 service and downgraded to 3 class 777s
Id the change from a 2 to a 3 class aircraft a downgrade? EK will only put a 3 class aircraft permanently on a route, if they are confident of selling sufficient first class seats. This is likely to bring in far higher revenue than a 2 class aircraft.

3 class means fewer economy seats sold, the 2 classes generate more because economy is a lot more popular than the first class. It’s sort of a downgrade for emirates but not for the customer

It is not a downgrade for Emirates as the 3 class aircraft generate higher revenues. They put these aircraft on routes where they believe they can fill the seats.

As for the passenger, there is no difference in economy on a 2 or 3 class aircraft.

So, why do airlines bother with business and first class? Simple! that's where they make their money. Economy class makes very, very little money for airlines. That's why they often charge extra for things like wifi connectivity in economy, but it's free in business and first. It's also why airlines have introduced premium economy. For a little more leg room and a slightly upgraded menu, they can charge more and get a greater yield. I've often heard it said, that a flight with a full business and first class and an empty economy is profitable. Whereas, a full economy and empty business and first will run at a loss.

I’ve read reports that it takes 3 months to get back in service
Depends on the condition of the planes, if they require any maintenance after being stored too long then yes it will take an average of 3 months. A6-EUO took only 2 months.

It’s actually on time 😳😳😲😲
Today.Due in 20 minutes
There may be delays at DXB such as traffic / Ground Errors or possible missing passenger, so as long as your not on the flight it doesn’t matter

A6-EOP Has Officially left Storage, and now is going through maintenance.
A6-EOP is a 2 class A380 which will be a common BHX plane.

interesting they have opted to pick the oldest plane to re-enter service, mind you this was the plane that was damaged in maintenance back in August 2019, and it only re-entered service in March 2020 for a few days before covid hit, so maybe it was fully serviced back then, and thus will not require as much heavy maintenance to get it back in the air again?

Yes, the nose completely collapsed. It was fixed and then immediately stored after 3 months after being repaired, which is why they chose to bring EOP back rather than EUZ

A6-EOQ has a vinyl actually, emirates only repaint their aircraft if its 8-10 years of age

All checked in for my flight to Sydney from Manchester via Heathrow. Been waiting for this trip for nearly a year and now tomorrow I'll finally head to Australia and New Zealand!
If anyone would like to share their local airport news right here in our news area let me know so I can give you the correct permissions to do so. It only takes a couple of minutes to upload a news story with an accompanying image. survived a redundancy scenario where I work for the 3rd time. Now it looks likely I will get to cover work for 2 other teams.. Pretty please for a payrise? That would be a no and so stay on the min wage.
Live in Market Bosworth and take each day as it comes......
Well it looks like I'm off to Australia and New Zealand next year! Booked with BA from Manchester via Heathrow with a stop in Singapore and returning with Air New Zealand and BA via LAX to Heathrow. Will circumnavigate the globe and be my first trans-Pacific flight. First long haul flight with BA as well and of course Air NZ.
15 years at the same company was reached the weekend before last. Not sure how they will mark the occasion apart from the compulsory payirse to minimum wage (1st rise for 2 years; i was 15% above it back then!)
