LBA Cargo Ops

The runways at the two airports may be similar in length but I don’t think LBA has the same available landing distance, which for a heavy cargo aircraft obviously impacts capabilities.
Stand to be corrected if my thoughts are wrong obviously
Overall they are a similar length so any difference in landing distance (at least on 32 ) cant be that great. However there's plenty of room to extend the runway in both directions at Teeside. No suggestion they are going to do that now of course.

Silly moderator question - shouldn't you be discussing MME cargo on the MME thread?

Okay, back to taking cover:grumpy:
I think it's fair to leave it here as I'm comparing and contrasting LBA with MME. Also I would have worded it differently for the MME thread.

LBA Cargo Ops

There has been a continual theme on the Leeds forum in recent weeks whereby people think they can discuss other airport or airline topics here.

First the Leeds Wizz thread and now the Leeds Cargo thread. As a direct result the Leeds Wizz thread has now been moved and merged into the main Airline Forum as it was so far off topic with general airline news and Cardiff discussions it nolonger resembled a Leeds thread.

Forums4airports has areas for different airports to allow more indepth discussions about those airports. If you want to discuss the goings on at another airport then take your discussions to the relevant thread elsewhere in the forum.

This means if you want to discuss general cargo ops at different airports then create a new thread in the Industry section. You can add a link within the Leeds forum if you think people will be interested.

Just one more post about Teesside
here and this thread will be murged into the Teesside thread! I can't make myself any clearer.

I've looked but can't find the 'Industry Section where is it please?

I'm hoping it's not one of the threads that no one reads. It's hard to compare and contrast if nobody's listening.

As I say, it's no problem leaving a link here with a description.

For general Cargo Ops create a new thread in the Aerospace Industry Forum and you can discuss the ins and outs of cargo ops from different airports to your hearts content.
